Large Display with TouchScreen

The AP-100 has a 12.1" XGA colour LCD TouchScreen that enables good size images to be displayed. It also has a customisable Java® based graphical user interface capable of running 3rd Party Java applets.

Hands-Free Premium Audio with Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC)

Whilst ordinary telephones operate using a 3.5kHz bandwidth, the AP-100 makes use of 7kHz for increased clarity. Full duplex acoustic echo cancellation is a feature of the AP-100. This important feature means that you can have a handsfree conversation with the far end as though they were in the same room. Most handsfree echo cancellation codecs permit speech in one direction only, which leads to delays and clipped speech when one person interrupts the other.

As instant, simple and flexible as a telephone

If you can use a telephone you can use the AP-100. Operation is essentially intuitive. It has all the normal controls that you would expect on a telephone. Calls can be dialled directly, or through the graphical telephone directory, a unique feature with the ability to store and search directory entries using thumbnail images.

As well as being easy to use the AP-100 is very flexible. It can be used as a video phone and a telephone (fully VoIP compliant), or as a videoconferencing centre. Calls can be made over your WAN, LAN or VPN, or through a gateway to existing ISDN based systems. Alternatively, use the integrated browser with the optional IR keyboard for working with your Intranet, email and the Internet.

Compatible with standards based systems

The AP-100 is designed to be compatible with other H.323 and SIP based videoconferencing equipment, multi-point conferencing systems and network hardware like gateways and gatekeepers. This allows easy integration with existing networks and makes incorporating video into new installations painless.

Centralised Contact Information

Using LDAP technology the AP-100 can also retrieve its phonebook from a central database.

Cisco® AVVID certfication

The AP-100 is compliant with Cisco systems and can be reliably integrated within Cisco based networks.
