With a USB camera attached, vPoint HD v8.0 becomes a low-cost software-based solution with full video conferencing capabilities. You can expand the features of vPoint HD v8.0 by using an Osprey®-100 video capture card. This card provides multiple high-quality video inputs and vPoint HD v8.0 allows you to toggle between video sources during a conference. These could be a live session from a PTZ camera, a training video from a VCR/DVD player, a special event recorded on a Camcorder or paper on a document camera.

vPoint HD v8.0 can be licensed as a standalone package using a USB protection key, or for larger quantities via a license server or as part of Emblaze-VCON's Media Xchange Manager, MXM. When used in conjunction with vPoint HD v8.0, MXM provides the advanced technology needed to deploy Video conferencing throughout an organisation. Now, with the click of a button, users can "invite" a 3rd party and everybody will be automatically placed into a multi-point conference. Other video telephony features, such as Call Transfer and Call Forward are also part of vPoint HD v8.0. Additionally, from the MXM console, the network administrator can remotely upgrade all vPoint HD v8.0 endpoints, as well as manage those endpoints on a day-to-day basis.
